Komitas Museum-Institute

Komitas Museum-Institute’s mission is to develop academic research on the work of Komitas and to explore and spread his artistic heritage. The Museum-Institute comprises rooms for permanent and temporary exhibitions, a concert hall, a recording studio, a research center, a library, and a publishing house. The museum stands as a center for displaying both contemporary art and cultural-historical heritage. The diverse exhibitions and events contribute to the creation of a new public space. This project was implemented by the National Committee of Armenia of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). Financial expenses were covered by “Pyunik” and “Luys” foundations.
