Heratsi Hospital Complex №1

First attempts of teaching neurosurgery to the students of Yerevan State Medical Institute (YSMI) were made in 1962 at the neurosurgical clinic of Traumatology and Orthopaedics Scientific Research Institute under the supervision of S.S. Hovhannisyan – one of the founders of neurosurgery in Armenia. Since 1964 the clinic is one of the medical facilities of Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU).
