Avan Mental Health Center

The center is the successor of the Republican “Psychiatric Medical Center” Avan Psychiatric Clinic of the RA Ministry of Health. It was created on the basis of the Republican Psychiatric Hospital of the RA Ministry of Health. The center was formed in 1971 under the leadership of Hrant Alexander Hovakimyan, and before 2003 functioned as the City Nervous Psychiatric Dispensary. 2003 was included in “Psychiatric Medical Center” Closed Joint Stock Company. Since March 14, 2014, it has been called the “Avan” mental health center.
