Zorats St. Holy Mother

Not far from Alayaz village there is the church of St. Zorats – unique in its type. From the east it has nothing extraordinary, but from the west we find ourselves immediately in front of the altar, as there is no prayer hall here. In this church it is replaced by quite a sizeable open court. The church was built in the 13th century by bishop Stephen Orbelian of Syunik.
